Privacy Policy
The short version. This version of the app collects no data. It has no account, and it plays offline. Everything it saves stays on your phone. Android’s own backup, if you have turned it on, may copy the game’s saved data to your Google account, as it does for your other apps.
Pop Room: Balloon Pop Puzzle (“Pop Room”, “the app”) is a free game for Android, published by ByteOnyx, the one-person studio of Md. Yousuf Ali (“we”, “us”). This page explains what the app does with data.

1. What data we collect
This version of the app collects none. It has no account and asks you to create nothing. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera.
We run no servers of our own, so we receive nothing about you. Everything the game remembers is listed in section 3, and it stays on your phone.
2. Google Play Games
Pop Room does not use Google Play Games Services. There is no sign-in, no leaderboard, no online achievement and no cloud save, and the app asks Google for no account permission (no OAuth scope).
3. Data stored on your device
The app saves the following on your device only, in the app’s own private storage:
- the levels you have won, their stars, the rooms you have entered, and how many times in a row you lost a level (so a hard level can give a little help);
- your Rush results: your best score and stage, how many runs and how long you played, and your last runs (the day, the score, the longest chain and the score over the run, for the Rush log);
- your Pop Shot progress: the stage you reached, the room it plays in, and a stage you left part way;
- your One Pop progress: the stage you reached, your stars, and which balloons and hints have been shown to you;
- your Endless Party records (best stage, best score, longest chain, your last runs and your trophies), and a run you left part way, so it comes back where you left it;
- your longest chain in any mode;
- your settings: sound, music, vibration, less motion, the balloon style and the other switches in Settings;
- which first-time moments you have already had, such as the hand that shows the first chain and which modes have been shown to you as new.
None of it is sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it from the phone.
Android backup. Android can back up apps’ data to your Google account and put it back on a new phone. If you have turned backup on, Android may include the list above in your phone’s backup, together with your other apps’ data. That is Android’s own feature, run by Google under your Google account and Google’s Privacy Policy. The app sends nothing itself, and we do not see the backup. You can turn backup off in your phone’s settings.
4. Third-party services
This version contains no analytics service, no crash-reporting service and no Google Play Games, and it does not read the Android advertising ID. No third-party service receives anything from it.
One button in the app hands something to another app on your phone, at your request: “Share” opens the app you choose (section 9). That app has its own privacy policy. If you write to us at the address in section 16, we receive what you send (your email address and your message) and use it only to answer you.
5. How your data is kept safe
- On your phone. Everything in section 3 is written to the app’s private storage, which Android keeps separate from other apps. No other app can read it.
- On our side, nothing. We run no servers, no database and no account system, so there is no store of player data anywhere that could be lost or breached.
- No password to lose. The game has no login.
- A backup is yours. If Android backup is on, the copy is kept by Google under your Google account, protected by it. We have no way to read it.
6. How long data is kept
- On your phone: until you delete it (section 7). The game keeps only your last few runs in Rush and Endless Party, and replaces older ones by itself.
- In your Google account, if Android backup is on: as long as Google keeps your phone’s backup, under Google’s own rules, or until you delete it.
- By us: nothing, for no time at all.
7. Deleting your data
You control everything the app stores, and you can remove it yourself:
- One mode’s progress, in the game: open Settings → Reset → Reset progress, pick Levels, Rush, Pop Shot or Endless Party, and hold to confirm. That mode starts over; your settings stay.
- Everything, settings too: uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → Pop Room → Storage and tap “Clear storage”.
- A copy in Android backup: if you use Android backup, open your Google account’s backups (in Google Drive, under Storage → Backups (drive.google.com/drive/backups) and delete your phone’s backup, or turn backup off in your phone’s settings. This removes the backup of your whole phone, not only this game.
We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you have a question about deletion, write to hello@byteonyx.com and we will answer within 30 days.
8. Selling and sharing
We do not sell your data. We hold none of it, so there is nothing for us to sell or share.
9. Sharing a picture
Sharing happens only when you tap “Share”, and you choose which app receives it. The game draws a picture on your phone (a photo of a room, a level’s or a run’s result, or your Rush log) and hands it to Android’s share sheet with one short line of text and a link to the game on Google Play. It holds no name, no account and no device ID. It goes only to the app you pick, not to us.
10. Permissions
The app asks for no Android permissions that need your approval: no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no photos or files, no notifications.
11. Internet
This version has no internet permission and opens no connection. You can see that in Android Settings → Apps → Pop Room → Permissions. The game plays offline.
12. Purchases
There are no in-app purchases.
13. Children
Pop Room is made for players 13 and over, and it is not part of Google Play’s Designed for Families programme. This version collects no information from anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has sent us an email, write to us and we will delete it.
14. Your rights
Wherever you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and the California CCPA, you have the right to know what data is held about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to have it deleted. We hold nothing, so there is no data about you on our side. Everything the game keeps is on your own phone, where you can delete it yourself (section 7). If you email us, you can ask us to delete that email at any time.
15. Changes to this policy
If a later version of the app changes what it stores or sends, or adds a third-party service, this page changes before that version reaches you, with a new effective date at the top. The address of this page will not change.
