Privacy Policy
The short version. The app collects no personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no crash SDK and no ads. If you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, your scores and achievements go to Google — nothing else, and only then.
Glide 2048 (“the app”) is a free number puzzle game for Android, published by Md. Yousuf Ali (“we”, “us”). This page explains what the app does with data.
1. Data we collect
None by us. The app has no account of its own. It does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, or any other personal information. It does not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
1a. Google Play Games (optional)
The app offers leaderboards and achievements through Google Play Games Services. This is optional: Google may offer to sign you in with your Google account when the app starts; you can decline, and the game plays the same without it.
If you sign in, the app sends to Google, under your Play Games profile: your scores, the number of moves and play time to your first 2048 tile, the number of games you finish, and which achievements you earn. Google shows these on the leaderboards and your achievements page. Your leaderboard entry (your Play Games name and avatar, your score) is visible to other players according to your Play Games profile settings (Google’s “Make your gamer profile public” toggle). To attach these to your profile, Google Play services on your phone sends your Play Games player ID (an ID Google creates for the game, not your email) to Google. The app shows your Play Games display name on the device; it never sends your name or email anywhere.
This data is held by Google, not by us, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to it. You can sign out, change your profile visibility, or delete your Play Games data in the Google Play Games app or at myaccount.google.com. We can see the leaderboards and achievement totals in the Play Console, but no email or account details.
2. Data stored on your device
The app saves your game progress, best score, game history, and settings (theme, skin, language, vibration) on your device only. If you use Play Games, it also keeps your Play Games display name and your latest leaderboard rank on the device. Apart from what section 1a describes, this data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
3. Sharing a score
When you tap “Share”, the app opens the Android share sheet with a short text containing your score. You choose which app receives that text. We do not receive or see it.
4. Permissions
The app does not request any Android runtime permissions. It uses the internet only for Google Play Games (section 1a).
5. Internet
The app works fully offline. The only thing it sends over the internet is the Play Games data in section 1a, and only if you signed in; scores made offline are sent when you are back online.
6. Advertising
The app contains no ads and does not use the Android advertising ID.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. The app itself collects no data; Play Games sign-in is Google’s and follows Google’s account rules.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
